Mosaic Tower

The 33-story addition of the Mayflower Building was completed in 1960, it then changed names to Fidelity Union Tower as part of the growth that joined another 21-story building that went up earlier in 1952 for the Fidelity Union Life Insurance Co.  Both structures were designed by Dallas Architect Hedrick C. Wyatt.

The Fidelity Union Tower exterior is brick and it's trademark is the millions of blue green ceramic tiles that line the building's exterior both ways vertical and horizontal. The Union Tower Complex has been mostly empty since the early 1990s, but that won't be for long as developers will convert the tower into 432 apartments starting in the Summer of 05. The new name will be the Mosaic in reference to the millions of green tiles that makeup the tower's exterior.
