Formerly the Maxus Energy Tower and recently renamed KPMG Centre; the rectangular 34-story tower has an interesting illusion, it appears to be toppling over. The tower's glass walls appear to be sloping inward from top to bottom but in reality are actually straight. The illusion effect is from each corner column rising from the 2-story base, they gradually narrow to the top of the tower's crown. The crown is comparable to three stories in height, therefore slightly taller than the neighboring 36-story Harwood Center.

KPMG Centre is linked by the skywalk network to the huge parking garage which contain the athletic club and a restaurant across Harwood Street then onto nearby Bryan Tower.
