The 45-story Lincoln Plaza skyscraper is located on a triangular-like block grid thus forming the tower's wedge-shape consisting of bay windows and smooth sides. The exterior is shinny Dakota Mahogany granite with dark glass windows.  Most appealing is the western sector along Akard Street, the northwest side is ascended by nine rows of bay windows and the west side is smooth.  The southern sector along Patterson Street has three rows of bay windows at each side of the smooth side. Only the wide eastern sector along Ervay Street is completely smooth. At street level, the area provides beautiful landscaping featuring large oak trees that surround the site.  The underground pedestrian tunnel connects Lincoln Plaza and located under street level is Dakota's, one of Dallas' most hidden but finest restaurants. Dakota's features the open-air patio complete with a five-step cascading waterfall which is located just beyond the main interior of the restaurant.  The restaurant is also accessible by an elevator at street level from San Jacinto Street.
