Trammell Crow Center

Architect:  Skidmore, Owings & Merrill

Rising 50-stories from the Arts District at the northeastern edge of downtown is the Trammell Crow Center; a stunning skyscraper of polished granite with dark glass windows. The main body of the building features four ascending rows of bay-like windows on each facade. The corners of the building indented to reduce the girth of the structure therefore creating a cross layout since the building is located on a small block area. The upper area tapers to covered segments of glass then primarily a square and finally capped by a unique glass pyramid rooftop, complete with a needle at its highest point.

At street level the site is surrounded with beautiful landscaping of numerous tall trees including a world-class sculpture garden of more than twenty bronze pieces from the French Masters.  North adjacent to the tower is a two floor pavilion building, which houses a museum for the Crow Collection of Asian Art, a permanent exhibit dedicated to the arts and cultures of several Asian countries.  A six-level underground parking garage is located directly beneath the office building.
